Crawfish Cook-Off Information

The entry fee includes:

  • 1 sack of crawfish (must bring your own corn, potatoes, etc.) 

  • Water stations for rinsing and purging crawfish 

  • 4 festival wristbands, 

  • 2 coolers 

  • Additional wristbands for family/friends will be required to be purchased prior to entry. 

  • Additional sacks of crawfish can be purchased for $125 a sack, by pre-order for the team to consume. 

 

Rules 

  • Crawfish teams can begin setting up when gates open @7am (contact us about setting up the night before)

  • You must keep a clean area to uphold health department standards 

  • Turn in “Full container” for “Judging” (we will provide a container to turn in crawfish) 

  • Keep music respectable 

  • CLEAN YOUR AREA BEFORE DEPARTURE PLEASE 

  • Automatic disqualification: CHEATING (((((DO NOT WALK TO JUDGES TABLE))))) 

  • Crawfish Judging Tickets will be handed to the head cook, and 1 or 2 runners will come to get your container to be judged. 

  • Once judging starts, judges will not leave or be seen by cookers. 

  • The highest score is 50 points

AWARDS: 1st 2nd 3rd and Best Theme (decorations are encouraged!) 

  • Taste 1-10 

  • Peel 1-10 

  • Presentation 1-10 

  • Spice 1-10 

  • Creativity 1-10

  • Best theme “decoration” separate trophy 

  • Turn-in times will start @ 11:30 and continue in 5 min increments in leu of random ticket draw
